The short version. We collect what you give us on a form, in a text, or in an email, plus the usual technical information about your visit. We use it to quote and do testing work, to answer you, and to send you things you asked for. We do not sell it. We text you only if you asked us to, and STOP ends it.
This policy explains what The Testing Agency LLC does with personal information collected through the-testing-agency.com, info.the-testing-agency.com, our forms, our email, and our phone and text line.
Our Site Terms govern your use of the site itself. The $5,000 giveaway has its own Giveaway Privacy Notice, and for information collected through that registration, the giveaway notice controls wherever the two say different things.
The Testing Agency LLC, 2108 N St Ste N, Sacramento, CA 95816, United States. Email [email protected] or call (415) 200-3755. We are the business responsible for the information described here.
We sell business to business, to restoration, mitigation, and property services companies in California and Nevada. The site is not aimed at consumers or children.
A job submission often contains someone else’s information, usually a property owner or occupant. Send us only what we need to do the work, and only where you are allowed to send it. We treat it the same way we treat yours.
When you visit the site our platform and our vendors record technical information: IP address, rough location from that address, browser and device type, the pages you opened and when, the page that sent you to us, and any campaign tags in the link you clicked. Forms also record the time of submission and, where a form carries them, the hidden source fields that tell us which ad or page a submission came from.
We use it to keep the site working, to stop spam and abuse, and to see which pages and campaigns actually produce work.
We do not make automated decisions about you, and we do not profile you beyond grouping enquiries by the campaign or page they came from.
We call and text about jobs. Those are transactional messages, and while a job is open we may need to reach you that way.
Marketing texts are always opt in. We send them only if you checked the box asking for them or you texted us first, and agreeing is never a condition of getting a quote or having work done.
Reply STOP to any text and the texts stop. Reply HELP for help, or reach us at (415) 200-3755 or [email protected]. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or your text message consent with anyone for their own marketing, and our messaging vendor may use it only to deliver our messages.
Calls may be recorded where the law allows it and where we tell you at the start of the call. Text and call history is kept with the rest of the record for that job.
The site uses cookies and similar technology. Some are necessary: they keep a form working, remember a submission, and protect against abuse. The site does not work properly without them.
We may also use analytics and advertising cookies, including Google and Meta products, to count visits, see which pages lead to a job, and measure the ads we run. Those vendors set their own cookies and their own policies apply to them.
You can clear or block cookies in your browser, and most browsers offer a Do Not Track setting. There is still no agreed standard for what a site should do when it sees one, so we do not respond to it. We do honour the Global Privacy Control signal where your browser sends one.
We do not sell your information. We share it only in these situations, and only with what the recipient needs:
Opting out of marketing does not stop messages about a job you have open with us, and some records we have to keep for the periods in Section 9 whatever you ask.
This section is for California residents and uses the California Consumer Privacy Act terms. In the last 12 months we have collected the categories in Sections 3 and 4: identifiers, commercial information, internet activity, rough geolocation, and the contents of communications with us. We collect them from you, from your submissions, and automatically from your device, for the purposes in Section 5, and we disclose them to the categories of recipient in Section 8.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not knowingly collect or sell the personal information of anyone under 16.
You have the right to:
Email [email protected] with the subject Privacy Request, or call (415) 200-3755. We verify a request by matching it against our records, and we may ask for a detail only the right person would know. We answer within 45 days and will tell you if we need the one 45-day extension the law allows. An authorised agent may act for you with written permission we can verify.
Nevada law lets residents tell a website operator not to sell their covered information. We do not sell it. To register the request anyway, email [email protected] with the subject Nevada Opt Out and include the name, address, and email you gave us.
Access to our systems is limited to the people who need it, our accounts require strong passwords, and our vendors are chosen partly on their own security. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that a transmission to us is safe from interception. Do not email or text us anything you would not want read by someone else, and if you think an account has been compromised, tell us straight away.
Everything we hold is stored and processed in the United States.
We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page is when we last changed it, and the current version is always the one on this page. For a change that materially affects how we use information we already hold, we will make it obvious on the site.
